What I learned:

  • Old habits die hard. At 3:30 this morning, I was reminded of college. Usually between 3 and 5 am, mere hours before a major paper would be due, a similar scene would be taking place. I would be writing and my good friend would be typing behind me. His paper had been finished days ago, of course. Except this morning it was all me.
  • It is possible to write your name enough times that you have to look somewhere else to be sure you’re spelling it correctly.
  • Ditto with other words. It is possible to write any word enough that it becomes an un-word.
  • I need to get advice from other artists who do this multiple copies thing. My (lack of) system isn’t working.

Random:

  • At 3:45 this morning there was a massive search for page number 33. Only 32 made it to the counter. I expect to be finding other parts of these pages for months to come. There is a really cute pink torn piece with two ladies. I hope they turn up.
  • When I learned there would be 33 pages, I thought to myself, “How will I narrow this down to only 33 songs?” I ended up using 8 songs; one of them 24 times.
  • I found some stuff bubbling to the surface (of my mind, not the pages) while doing this. I’ll be curious to see if anyone else picks up on it.

  1. ROFL- Yes Alicia…..it IS entirely possible to write your name so much that you must check the spelling. Ahhhh the joys of a chunky book. Really though- love your pages ;-)
